Our Philosophy

OneScribe was built with privacy as a core principle. Your thoughts, documents, and personal information should remain completely private. That's why we process everything on your device—no cloud servers, no data collection, no tracking.

What We Don't Collect

OneScribe does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Scanned documents or images
• Extracted text or OCR results
• AI analysis results or Data Card contents
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Device identifiers
• Location data

Zero data collection means zero privacy risk.

On-Device Processing

All processing happens locally on your iPhone or iPad:

• OCR: Apple Vision Framework (on-device)
• AI Analysis: Apple Intelligence / Foundation Models (on-device)
• Document Classification: On-device machine learning
• Data Card Generation: Processed entirely on your device

Your scanned documents and AI insights never leave your device during processing.

Exports via Share Sheet

When you export documents using the iOS Share Sheet:

• Documents go directly to your chosen app via iOS sharing
• No intermediate servers are involved
• OneScribe has no access to your accounts in other apps
• We never see your credentials or authentication tokens

Once shared, your documents are subject to the privacy policies of the receiving apps (Apple Notes, Bear, Email, etc.).

Local Storage

OneScribe stores locally on your device:

• Scanned images (until you delete them)
• App settings and preferences
• Document library and metadata
• AI-generated insights and Data Cards

Deleting the app removes all local data.

Data Security

Your documents are encrypted by your iPhone whenever it's locked. With App Lock enabled, OneScribe also requires Face ID or Touch ID to open. No one—including us—can access your data.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect your data, there's nothing to request, delete, or export from us. You have full control:

• Delete scanned documents from your device anytime
• Uninstall the app to remove all local data
• Your data is yours—we never have access to it

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
